Submission
Guidelines for Submission:
We welcome poetry with a strong sense of voice, imagery, and place from emerging and established writers. Our Editorial Board is pleased to read 3 poems, of up to 34 lines and breaks per poem, with name, address, phone number, and email on each page. Lines should not be more than 56 characters in length.
Please include a brief biography of 3-4 lines with your submission and a SASE for notification.
All poems must be original and unpublished, but we do consider simultaneous submissions. We accept submissions in hard copy only. Please inform us immediately if submitted work is accepted elsewhere. Payment is in one contributor’s copy. Submissions will not be read or responded to without a SASE.
Our reading period for Volume V will begin on June 1, 2009 and extend to August 31, 2009.
HeartLodge: Honoring the House of the Poet retains first North American serial rights. Copyright reverts to author upon publication. The editors reserve the right to edit poems, depending on space.
